What is Rashi?

Rashi is one of the twelve equal 30° divisions of the sidereal zodiac. RASHINOS derives it from the Moon's sidereal longitude, which is the tropical longitude minus the Lahiri/Chitrapaksha ayanamsha.

How it is calculated

The sign index is floor(longitude ÷ 30), evaluated on the sidereal longitude in the half-open range [0°, 360°). An exact boundary belongs to the following sign. Every result carries the distance to the nearest boundary, and results within the sensitivity band are marked BOUNDARY SENSITIVE rather than presented as certain.

The twelve Rashis

Rashi is a calculated classification, not a prediction. Personality descriptions commonly attached to Rashis are traditional interpretation, which RASHINOS publishes only from a reviewed editorial source.
