Pancha Mahapurusha Yogas
The Five Great Planetary Archetype Yogas represent the pinnacle of individual planetary dignity. They occur when any of the five non-luminary planets occupies a pivotal angle (houses 1, 4, 7, 10 from Ascendant) while placed in its own sign (Swakshetra) or exaltation sign (Uchha): Ruchaka (Mars), Bhadra (Mercury), Hamsa (Jupiter), Malavya (Venus), and Sasa (Saturn).

Classical Rule & Calculation Conditions
Inputs Required for Verification:
- •Verified exact birth time and geographic coordinates to establish the Ascendant (Lagna)
- •Sidereal coordinates for Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, and Saturn
Traditional Jyotisha Interpretation
Denotes exceptional mastery and leadership in the archetype’s domain: military/strategic courage (Ruchaka), mathematical/scholarly brilliance (Bhadra), spiritual wisdom (Hamsa), artistic magnetism (Malavya), or institutional endurance (Sasa).
Modifications & Classical Cancellation Rules (Bhanga)
Classical Jyotisha recognizes that planetary yogas do not operate in a vacuum. The following modifying conditions refine or temper their external expression:
- •Combustion with the Sun (< degree limits) weakens the exterior expression of the Mahapurusha archetype.
- •Conjunction with natural malefics or debilitation in Navamsha (D9) tempers results.
What RASHINOS Evaluates
Checks each of the 5 planets for simultaneous Kendra placement from Lagna AND position in its own or exalted sign.
Limitations & Ethical Context
Requires verified birth time. Without exact Lagna degree, Kendra house assignments cannot be authenticated.
